Summer Camp

This year’s annual Boy Scout campout at Camp Powhatan promises an exciting week full of adventure, learning, and camaraderie. Scouts will set up their tents, explore the wooded trails, and participate in a variety of outdoor activities, including fishing, canoeing, and skill-building exercises like knot tying and firecraft. In addition, scouts will have the opportunity to work toward earning merit badges such as Fishing, Canoeing, Camping, Wilderness Survival, and Environmental Science, giving them hands-on experience and a sense of accomplishment. Evenings will be filled with campfire stories, songs, and s’mores under the stars, creating lasting memories. This annual tradition brings scouts closer to nature, strengthens friendships, and reinforces the values of Scouting in a fun and engaging way.
